On December 12, the Korea University Sejong LINC3.0 Foundation under the ICC Central Center, signed a business agreement to establish a platform for human and material exchange and to build a foundation for collaboration with two companies. This agreement was planned by the Food and Life Regulatory Science Center under the Sejong LINC3.0 Foundation.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Policy Planning Team Leader Jo Hangseok at Sejong Technopark, Director Park Junhwan of the Sejong Intellectual Property Center, Director Kwon Yongjin of the National Sejong Arboretum, CEO Kim Sungmo of K-SOL, and Vice Chairman Kim Sungwoo, along with two other representatives, Director Park Hyeeun of the Korea Bio Research and Development Center, as well as faculty members and researchers from the Sejong LINC3.0 Foundation, Department of Food and Biotechnology, and Department of Food Regulatory Science.

 

Through this agreement, the parties aim to actively promote various initiatives to enhance collaboration and innovation. These efforts focus on research and development activities designed to strengthen research and business cooperation while advancing technology and product development. Joint research will target the commercialization of technologies and the generation of high-value-added outcomes. Collaborative efforts will include the planning and operation of educational programs and field training initiatives that emphasize practical, field-based talent cultivation. Additionally, capstone design projects and various research and business collaborative educational courses will be developed and implemented. Efforts will also be directed toward strengthening research cooperation through the exchange of academic and technological information.

 

Director Cho Taejin of the Food and Regulatory Science Center stated, “This partnership not only involves Korea University Sejong LINC3.0 Foundation, K-SOL, and the Korea Bio Research Institute Co,.Ltd but also discusses the establishment of a collaborative foundation with various regional organizations, including Sejong Technopark, the Sejong Intellectual Property Center, and the National Sejong Arboretum. We will do our best to go beyond leveraging the strengths of research and business to create synergistic effects.”

 

On a related note, the Food and Regulatory Science Center is committed to using regulatory science knowledge required by the industry to establish new collaborative models in the field of regulatory science and industrial development. Its primary goal is to promote specialized research in regulatory science within the food and life science sectors through diverse research and business collaboration programs and active communication with industry stakeholders.
